On the night of June 4 in Unterhaching (Munich district), three men attempted to steal two caravans, one of which was occupied by a sleeping 43-year-old owner. Waking around midnight, the man realized his trailer was being hitched to a car and called police with his location. Officers found the caravan in Unterhaching and arrested suspects aged 28, 43, and 45. The combined value of the two trailers was estimated at 15,000 euros; all three were taken into custody, and one lacked a driver's license.
On the evening of June 9 in Rees (Kleve district), unknown perpetrators broke through the gate of a company on Empeler Straße and used three SUVs to steal three Fendt caravans. Two vehicles were gray, one was a black VW with right-hand drive and yellow British plates. The thieves fled toward Groiner Allee and presumably the A3 motorway. Earlier that day in Kleve, two men tried to steal a caravan of the same brand but were spotted by a witness and fled in a dark car, possibly with British plates. Police are investigating a possible link and seeking witnesses at 02822/7830.
Between June 13 and 14, a Hobby caravan was stolen in Kaufbeuren (Buronstraße/Neugablonzer Straße); police ask for tips at 08341/933-0.
