On Friday around 14:30 on Donauwörther Strasse in Bäumenheim, Germany, a caravan separated from its towing car and collided with a parked passenger vehicle. According to initial police estimates, total damage amounted to around 7000 euros. The 59-year-old driver was en route to a mandatory vehicle inspection when the trailer, including its hitch, detached at house number 29. Police could not determine on site whether the coupling was improperly attached or failed due to a technical defect. Because the caravan was used outside the operating period permitted by its seasonal license plate, officers issued a warning to the owner.
