Two fatal accidents involving RVs have occurred on the B207 federal highway in Schleswig-Holstein within the last two weeks.
Accident on May 1
On May 1, a head-on collision between a van and a motorhome occurred on the B207 between Heiligenhafen and Großenbrode. The 45-year-old van driver died at the scene. The 55-year-old motorhome driver sustained minor injuries; his passenger was unharmed. The cause of the accident is still under investigation. According to one source, the van drifted into oncoming traffic.
Accident on April 18
On April 18, on the B207 near Buchholz (Duchy of Lauenburg), a motorhome left the road on a right-hand bend and hit a tree. The 70-year-old driver died at the scene; his 53-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. The couple's dog was taken to a veterinary clinic. The road was fully closed until 6:00 PM.
