Crash in Karlstift
On Sunday, at an intersection on the B38 in Karlstift (municipality of Bad Grosspertholz, Gmünd district), a car collided with a motorhome driven by a 74-year-old man. After the impact, the motorhome crashed into a tree.
The motorhome driver was taken by the "Christophorus 2" rescue helicopter to the university clinic in Krems. His 73-year-old passenger and two people from the car — aged 53 and 72 from Upper Austria — were also hospitalised.
According to one source, the vehicle was a caravan trailer, not a motorhome. Fire brigades from Harmanschlag, Grosspertholz, Karlstift, St. Martin, Weitra and Langschlag, as well as police, were on site.
