In Bariloche, Argentina, police searched the motorhome of a Brazilian couple traveling through South America after a stolen laptop's 'Find My' feature geolocated it near their campsite. The campsite owner alerted the tourists, who were on a hike, about the pending inspection. Upon return, police with two vehicles and the victims waited for them, asked for documents and permission to search. The tourists voluntarily opened the motorhome; police checked all Apple devices, compared serial numbers, and found nothing. The second vehicle at the campsite was also searched without result. The couple speculated the signal might have come from other people passing by the previous day. Despite the incident, they praised the local police's responsiveness compared to Brazil, where such geolocation reports often go unanswered.
