A Brazilian couple of bloggers, known as Nosdoisemcasa, faced two incidents during their trip through Argentina.
On June 26 in Neuquén, at a wholesale supermarket parking lot, unknown persons entered their motorhome and stole a suitcase with promotional materials, a car camera and a photo camera, two Ray-Ban sunglasses, a knife and a wallet. No signs of forced entry were found. Some valuable equipment, including a laptop, remained untouched.
On July 2 in Bariloche, police searched the same couple's motorhome. The reason was the activation of the "Find My" feature on the stolen laptop, which, according to geolocation, was in the area of the campsite where their motorhome was parked. The campsite owners warned the tourists, who were on an excursion. Upon their return, they were met by police with two cars and the victims. The tourists voluntarily opened the motorhome; police checked all Apple devices, compared serial numbers and found nothing stolen. A second vehicle at the campsite was also searched — without result. The tourists suggested the signal might have been related to other people passing by the day before. Despite the incident, the couple positively assessed the work of the local police compared to Brazil.
