Timeline and circumstances
On April 8, 2026, around 9:00 a.m., a collision between a campervan and a truck occurred on federal highway B31 near Falkensteig (Baden-Württemberg). According to police, the 71-year-old campervan driver veered into the opposite lane and hit the truck.
Consequences
No injuries were reported: the drivers and a female passenger in the campervan were unharmed. Both vehicles sustained damage and were towed away. Traffic on the section was completely closed for accident investigation and recovery. Preliminary property damage is estimated at over 15,000 euros.
