Man arrested in Modena for attempted theft of bicycles from parked motorhome

State Police in Modena arrested a 31-year-old man, already known to authorities, for attempted aggravated theft. Around 11:00 PM on Viale Martiri della Libertà, officers responded to a 112 emergency call from a street tutor reporting someone tampering with a parked motorhome. The suspect dropped a pair of shears and fled toward via Mascherella but was caught on Corso Adriano. Two of four bicycles originally secured to the motorhome's bike rack were found on the ground nearby, a third was hidden in a flowerbed at Parco Pertini, and the chain had been cut; a window was also broken. The arrest was validated by the preliminary investigations judge, who imposed an obligation to report to judicial police.
