Police in Verona arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated theft after he allegedly stole two bicycles from a camper parked in a rest area on Via Gianattilio dalla Bona. The arrest followed a report to the police around noon, with a witness tracking the suspect and providing real-time updates until officers arrived. The suspect was detained while riding one of the stolen bicycles and carrying the other, along with an angle grinder used to cut the security chain. The bicycles, valued at approximately 5,000 euros, were recovered and returned to their owners, two Belgian tourists. The suspect, who has prior convictions, was taken into custody.
