The owner of Carson Pass RV in Lockeford, San Joaquin County, 44-year-old Thomas Schultz, has been arrested in connection with an investigation into possible fraudulent sales at the closed dealership. According to the sheriff's office, he faces 53 counts of grand theft, with bail set at $2.1 million.
The investigation began after complaints about fraudulent RV sales, including vehicles consigned to the dealership, were received in March. Schultz is suspected of selling RVs without notifying their legal owners and without processing paperwork with the DMV.
The arrest took place on August 19, 2026. The charges were filed under California Penal Code section 487(a).
