According to sources, the cyclist failed to yield at an intersection, entering the D207 from the Touat road. The impact threw him nearly 20 meters. Rescue services (SMUR from Lesparre, gendarmerie, and municipal teams) arrived but could not revive the victim — he died at the scene.

The circumstances of the accident are under investigation. It is noted that motorhomes, due to their greater mass, height, and blind spots, pose an increased danger to cyclists on narrow roads.
