Crews douse motorhome fire on west side of Okanagan Lake

A fire in a parked trailer in Surrey, British Columbia, killed one man. According to Surrey Fire Service, the fire broke out around 7 a.m. Sunday in a trailer parked near a home at 94 Avenue and 184 Street. Firefighters arrived to find the trailer engulfed in flames and discovered the deceased man inside. The home sustained minor heat damage. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and Surrey Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the death.

Campbellton, New Brunswick, will increase the number of seasonal lots at its waterfront RV park from 30–32 to a maximum of 37 next year after some campers were turned away this summer. The campground has 86 sites reserved for RVs or trailers only. Originally 18 lots were set aside for seasonal users, rising to 30–32 before the 2025 season. Council member Diane Cyr said the increase follows growing local interest, but the cap ensures sites remain for visitors and tourists.
