A motorhome fire occurred on May 1 on Westside Road near Okanagan Lake, close to Lake Okanagan Resort. Firefighters arrived around 6 p.m. and quickly doused the flames, preventing spread.
According to some sources, the owner was not on site; according to others, the owner tried to extinguish the fire himself. Wilson’s Landing Fire Department and North Westside Fire Rescue responded. No injuries were reported. The cause is under investigation. Rapid containment was aided by the lack of vegetation following the 2023 wildfire.
