On July 20, two serious accidents occurred on the A1 Milan-Naples and A21 Piacenza-Brescia motorways. On the A1 at around 16:30 at km 88 between Fiorenzuola and Fidenza, a camper ran off the road and overturned in a field. According to sources, three people were injured: a woman in serious condition was airlifted to Parma hospital (Maggiore), while a 37-year-old man and a minor sustained minor injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
On the A21 near Caorso, a car left the road, and the 65-year-old driver was airlifted in red code to the same hospital. Traffic was disrupted, with queues reaching 6–9 km on the A1, and congestion was also reported on the Autocisa due to roadworks.
