A Romanian seasonal worker died in a caravan fire in Poggio Imperiale, Foggia province, where he slept during harvest periods. The fire broke out on the night of May 12, likely due to accidental causes. The tragedy highlights the living conditions of seasonal workers and delays in projects funded by the Pnrr. Of the €200 million allocated nationally to eliminate informal settlements, about €114 million were assigned to Foggia province, but much of the funding remains stalled due to administrative delays.
