The new operator of Camping Steinplatte in Waidring (Tyrol) will stop renewing contracts with seasonal (annual) campers from autumn 2026/2027. Mayor Georg Hochfilzer stated that this is a business decision the municipality cannot influence, and expressed understanding for the concerns of long-term guests who have supported the local economy for years. The campsite will focus exclusively on short-term rentals in the future.
