Lisa, a 31-year-old single mother from Hemer, North Rhine-Westphalia, built an 80-square-meter tiny house on a sloping plot. She paid €96,000 for the kit, lived in a caravan on site for four months to save rent. The house on stilts is connected to utilities and recognized as a dwelling. Construction took 14 months; Lisa did much of the work with help from friends and neighbors.
