Alghero fines motorhome owner for turning parking into camping

The municipality of Fossacesia has published a tender for the concession of a camper area on the South Promenade, in the Grotte locality. The management period is three years, with a starting bid of 11,000 euros per year, and only upward offers are accepted. The area covers approximately 1,800 square meters and can accommodate about 20 motorhomes. The concessionaire will handle management, maintenance, and operation, and may install a movable kiosk and set tariffs. Bids must be submitted by 12:00 PM on June 13, 2026. The area was closed in November 2024 due to its classification as a 'Red Zone' in the Hydrogeological Plan following studies on the Fosso Mayer stream.
