In Bolzano, Italy, carabinieri and municipal police carried out a series of checks on city parking lots targeting unauthorized parking of campervans and caravans. The operations took place at the cemetery parking lot (where only cars are allowed) and at the Maso della Pieve lot.
During the raid, 10 campervans and 2 caravans were fined. Four campervans lacked mandatory technical inspection, each receiving a €173 fine. One illegally parked caravan was immediately removed by its owner; for the second, a procedure to locate the owner and clear the area has been initiated.
Authorities plan to install additional road signs at entrances to no-parking zones to prevent future violations.
