Subaru produced the Domingo based on the Sambar kei van from 1983 to 1998. With a length of about 3.4 m, it seated seven via a three-row layout. The second generation (from 1994) included the Aladdin trim with a pop-up roof, enabling overnight stays for up to four adults. Production ended in 1998 due to declining demand for ultra-compact minivans, but interest in such vehicles is now reviving.
