The RV park Charlie’s Lanai, certified by the Japan RV Association, has opened in the Myoban hot spring area of Beppu, Oita Prefecture. It accommodates up to four motorhomes at a time, with overnight rates starting at 4,500 yen per vehicle. Check-in runs from 13:00 to 18:30 and check-out is by 12:00. Guests have access to a 24-hour toilet, free 100V electricity, a dump station and water, plus paid entry to the open-air sulphur spring at the 150-year-old Okamoto-ya Ryokan. Booking is online only until 16:00 on the day of arrival.
