Camper manufacturers offer compact models with sliding and hidden bathrooms, while a Turkish resident solved his housing problem by converting a tiller into a caravan without a toilet or shower
The camper market shows a variety of approaches to fitting a bathroom in limited space. Manufacturers offer compact models with sliding and hidden sanitary solutions, while DIY enthusiasts take their own path.
Compact campers with a bathroom
Several models under 5.5 meters in length are available with a shower and toilet: Ford Nugget, Karmann Duncan 550, Panama P59+, and Westfalia Kelsey. Prices start at €57,800. A full bathroom in this class is rare.
Sliding and hidden solutions
German Frankia introduced the updated Neo Liner camper on a Mercedes base with sliding sanitary ware: the toilet and sink retract into the wall, increasing shower space. The model is 7 m long and 2.24 m wide, with a 150 hp diesel and 9-speed automatic. Price in Germany starts at €119,900.
The Weinsberg CaraLife 630 LQ on a Fiat Ducato chassis (6.36 m long) offers a sliding fabric shower cabin, a chemical toilet hidden in the seat, and up to five sleeping places. Base price from €62,000.
Tiller caravan
47-year-old Murat Yıldız from Malatya, Turkey, unable to find rental housing due to his bachelor Status, converted an agricultural tiller into a caravan. The only problem is the lack of a bathroom and toilet.
