In the June 7, 2026 episode of "Abenteuer Leben am Sonntag," a project converts a 40-year-old fire truck into a self-sufficient camper. The budget is 10,000 euros. Two participants, Dennis and Dominik, do all the work themselves, including raising the roof and interior finishing.
Separately, "Abenteuer Leben täglich" tested the Kabe Imperial 1000 TDL caravan, 11.6 meters long, which the manufacturer and trade press call one of Europe's longest production caravans. Reporter Lothar Langeherrmann checked whether this large trailer suits a regular vacation rather than just stationary camping, and faced difficulties already while towing.
