The South Korean city of Wonju is launching a pilot K-drone delivery service for campsite visitors starting June 13. The project is being implemented for the second consecutive year under a government program to create a demonstration drone city, supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
According to sources, delivery will begin at two campsites and expand to five by July. During the pilot period, deliveries occur once a week on Saturdays, increasing to twice a week in July–August. One source mentions the service will start with 10 points including campsites, with up to 2 flights per day, and plans to expand to 78 routes.
The assortment includes local products such as steamed buns and corn, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. The pilot project will run until October.
