In Brief

Gwynedd authorities have recommended approval for a campsite expansion at Grafg Farm near Caernarfon, adding 25 motorhome/caravan pitches and 10 tents. Separately, Llys Derwen campsite owners have applied to create a doggy day care with six kennels to boost tourism.

Two projects aimed at developing tourism infrastructure for motorhome and caravan owners are under consideration in Gwynedd, Wales.

Expansion at Grafg Farm

Gwynedd officials have recommended approval for a plan to expand the motorhome and caravan park at Grafg Farm near Caernarfon. The project includes creating a site for 25 motorhomes or caravans and 10 tents, as well as replacing the toilet block with a new modular building. Investment in the project is around £100,000. The planning committee meeting is scheduled for June 15.

Doggy day care at Llys Derwen

Owners of the Llys Derwen campsite and caravan park in Llanrug have applied to set up a doggy day care for guests. The plan involves converting part of an existing building into six dog kennels, open from 9:00 to 17:00. According to the applicants, this will expand offerings in a crowded tourism market and support the local economy.
