Opening of La Terrazza sul Monferrato campsite
In Vignale Monferrato, in the Monferrato region (a UNESCO World Heritage site), a new motorhome area called “La Terrazza sul Monferrato” has opened. The official opening ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 on 3 October 2026 at via Circonvallazione, Eraldo Monzeglio parking. The site is already operational: since 1 September this year, 120 entries have been recorded, of which 70 were foreign motorhomes.
The area is located on the lower level of the Eraldo Monzeglio parking and includes 16 pitches with electrical hookups, drinking water and grey and black water disposal. It operates 24 hours a day, year-round. Booking and payment are handled electronically; no tourist tax is charged.
The project was funded by the Piedmont Region's Development and Cohesion Fund under the Tanaro Basin Homogeneous Territorial Zone. The area complements the existing accommodation network — agritourism farms, B&Bs and holiday homes. Mayor Tina Corona stated that the facility will add beauty and value to the territory.
