A new paid short-stay camper parking area has opened in Bolzano on via Maso della Pieve, opposite the southern entrance to the cemetery. It offers 19 spots exclusively for campers, with a maximum stay of 72 hours. Rates are €20 for 6 hours, €25 for 12 hours, and €30 for 24 hours. The facility is managed by SEAB.
This is the first phase of a broader reorganization of the parking zone, which had long suffered from neglect and safety issues. The parking area is equipped with video surveillance and a barrier, and payment is electronic only. Restrictions for large vehicles have been introduced, with designated spaces for residents, cemetery visitors, and local businesses. Starting in September, automatic barriers and cameras will be installed on adjacent parking lots. The municipality is also considering additional long-stay spaces.
