Highland Council has secured planner approval for a new motorhome service area at the A9 North Kessock car park. The facility, which includes a motorhome waste water system and fresh water infrastructure, will be connected to the existing toilet block and located west of Harry Gow bakery. A summer completion timeline was initially set to coincide with the tourist season, but visitors will now wait longer. The proposal comes almost three years after controversial plans for a caravan and motorhome site along the A9 Inverness to Thurso carriageway reemerged.
