The Pamukkale municipality has begun work on a 4,000 sq m recreation area and a 2,000 sq m camp and caravan site facing the UNESCO World Heritage site. The recreation area will include a restaurant, rest and exhibition spaces, walking paths, a children's playground and an open-air amphitheatre. The camp site will have capacity for 5 caravans and 14 motorhomes. Mayor Ali Rıza Ertemur said the projects are expected to boost tourism in the region.
