Pamukkale to get 24/7 living area

Turkish manufacturer Güney Karavan has released the Minika 250, a 2.5-meter-long trailer weighing 450 kg. It includes a double bed, a kitchen with sink, stove and 90-liter fridge, and a wet bathroom with shower and toilet. Options include a diesel heater, air conditioning, solar panels and an extra bunk for a third passenger. Priced at 199,000 Turkish liras (under $5,000 at Autoevolution's reference rate), it is sold only in Turkey.

Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has designated seven public beaches in Antalya for camping with tents and caravans. The beaches are located in the districts of Kemer, Konyaalti, Manavgat, Serik and Muratpasa. Visitors are advised to contact the facilities for current conditions and fees.

The federation wants clear rules on the classification of M1-class vehicles, speed limits, annual inspections, the definition of a 'camping vehicle', weight limits, and the creation of safe parking areas for caravans on intercity roads. The request follows inconsistent enforcement of regulations across different regions and institutions.

The Pamukkale municipality has begun work on a 4,000 sq m recreation area and a 2,000 sq m camp and caravan site facing the UNESCO World Heritage site. The recreation area will include a restaurant, rest and exhibition spaces, walking paths, a children's playground and an open-air amphitheatre. The camp site will have capacity for 5 caravans and 14 motorhomes. Mayor Ali Rıza Ertemur said the projects are expected to boost tourism in the region.
