The Okeechobee County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a zoning change to convert 22 acres of agricultural land into a commercial RV park. The project, Faithful Trails RV Estates, calls for up to 195 RV spaces and amenities including pickleball courts, an exercise facility, a dog park, a pool and a clubhouse with showers. The site is on U.S. 441 about a quarter mile from County Road 15A in unincorporated Okeechobee County. The developer said the plan includes preserving oak trees and the rural Florida aesthetic.
