Two new camper van parking areas are being developed in Italy.
Villanova Mondovì (Piedmont)
The municipality of Villanova Mondovì has approved a project for a new camper van area on Via Frabosa. The work is funded by a regional grant of 60,000 euros, with a total budget of 75,000 euros. Design and supervision have been entrusted to architect Stefano Gerione, with a contract value of 5,098 euros. Funds are allocated in the 2026 budget.
Cividate Camuno (Lombardy)
Construction has started on a new camper van area in Cividate Camuno. The project was announced by the administration of Mayor Alessandro Franceschetti during the 2024 election campaign. The area will include 40 equipped pitches with electricity, water, and drainage, as well as toilets, showers, and a service zone. The total cost is about 240,000 euros, with 80% funded by the Italian Ministry of Tourism and 20% by the municipality. Completion is scheduled for autumn 2025, with full opening to tourists in spring-summer 2026.
