The Japan RV Association continues to expand its network of paid parking lots for motorhomes and campers. Three new facilities opened in February 2026.

New RV parks

  • RV Park HAKODATE SHOWA BASE (Hakodate, Hokkaido): 5 sites, electricity, 24-hour toilet, pets allowed. Rates start from 3,000 yen per night.
  • RV Park Ichinomiya Seaside Mark Base (Chiba Prefecture): 5 sites, electricity, water, 24-hour toilet, pets allowed. Rates start from 4,000 yen per night.
  • RV Park ACAO FOREST (Atami, Shizuoka Prefecture): 2 sites, electricity, toilet, view of Sagami Bay. Rates start from 4,400 yen per night.

All parks are designed for safe overnight stays and are equipped with the necessary infrastructure for a comfortable motorhome trip.

AI cameras introduced at Katarau-Stand campsite in Miyazaki Prefecture for the first time in the region

Assist You Co., Ltd. has deployed AI cameras at the Katarau-Stand campsite in Gokase, Miyazaki Prefecture. This marks the first full-scale installation of AI cameras at a campsite in the prefecture. The 'AI KIDs' system detects people and vehicles, monitors crossings of virtual lines and intrusions into designated areas, and sends alerts. The cameras operate 24/7, including nighttime via infrared, and footage can be accessed remotely via smartphone or PC.
