The municipality of Tsarevo denied plans for a camping site at Butamyata beach in Sinemorets. The area lies within Strandzha Nature Park, adjacent to the protected Silistar zone. The municipality held a tender for leasing plots for temporary placement of tents, campervans, and caravans for up to three years (May–September) under national regulations. The lessee, PEPE.BG, stated it will not build permanent structures but will create a camper zone with temporary amenities. The Burgas District Prosecutor's Office has launched a probe into the deal's legality.
