The state of Burgenland has announced a camping initiative to boost tourism. Last year, approximately 200,000 people stayed at the region's 21 campsites, with every sixth overnight stay attributed to campers. To attract investors and develop new sites, particularly around Geschriebenstein and the thermal spa regions, authorities plan to collaborate with the Burgenland Economic Agency.
