Cheongnyangsan Suwon Camping Site, located in Bonghwa County, North Gyeongsang Province, has launched summer programs. These include a floor fountain, yoga and meditation sessions, and workshops for making constellation lanterns, wooden speakers, and syrups from local products.
The campsite, opened in October 2024 as a partnership between Suwon and Bonghwa cities, features 12 auto-camping spots, 6 six-person caravans, 5 mini-caravans, and 7 glamping cabins. Overnight rates range from 50,000 to 110,000 won, with peak season (July–August) surcharges.
From its opening through May 2025, the site recorded 6,067 visitors, a 67% increase over the previous operator. Of these, 67% (4,038 people) were Suwon residents. Occupancy rose from 30.9% to 71.3%.
Reservations are made monthly from the 1st to the 15th via the Camping Talk app or website through a lottery system. 50% of spots are reserved for residents of Suwon and Bonghwa, with the rest allocated randomly. Residents of Suwon and Bonghwa, as well as eligible groups (basic livelihood recipients, veterans, disabled persons, large families), receive a 50% discount on accommodation.
From July 25 to August 2, the region will host the Sweetfish Festival, along with rafting on the Nakdong River and visits to the Baekdudaegan National Arboretum.
