Camping equipment maker UJack fully opened the Tsukiyoko Mutsuzawa auto campsite in Mutsuzawa, Chiba Prefecture, in July. The 10-hectare site is located by the lake at Mutsuzawa Dam. It currently has 50 pitches, with plans to expand to 300 in the future. A hands-free plan, in which staff handle setup and pack-up, is offered for beginners. About 1,400 people, mainly in their 40s and 50s, have visited since the July opening. The operator aims for around 5,000 users per year. No damage was reported from the August heavy rain in Chiba or Typhoon No. 25 in September.
