Iko Yama Campground in Ichikai to Open on July 1

Authorities in Ikeda, Gifu Prefecture, approved a renovation plan for the municipal Ikeda Onsen. The project includes updating buildings, creating a car sleeping area, a sauna resort, and accessible baths. Opening is scheduled for August 2027.

Daytona has launched two new camping products: the Maehiro Dome E solo tent and the Car Side Shelter. The tent, priced at ¥28,820 (approx. $200), features a large vestibule that can accommodate a Super Cub-class motorcycle, designed for touring campers. Bears Rock tested an 8cm car sleeping mat on three popular SUVs: Mazda CX-5, Subaru Forester, and Toyota Raize. The tests revealed different unevenness and height differences in each model's cabin. Using the mat reduced discomfort from bumps, improved pressure distribution, and stabilized sleeping posture.

The municipal campground in Ichikai, Tochigi Prefecture, will open on July 1. Located in a forested area, it offers affordable outdoor recreation. The site includes tent pitches and motorhome parking.
