Permanently installed equipment like satellite dishes or solar panels is often covered only up to a limit (typically €5,000–€10,000), and retrofitted components require notification to the insurer. For loose household goods, including electronics and bicycles, a separate contents insurance is needed, covering theft, fire, and damage up to €20,000. E-bikes on rear carriers are only insured if secured with a separate lock.
