First-time campers travel to Scotland with a caravan

A camper van caught fire on the M6 northbound between junctions J34 and J35 near Lancaster. Three fire engines from Morecambe, Hornby and Silverdale responded at around 2:50 pm on Friday. Crews used a hose reel, breathing apparatus and small tools to put out the fire within 35 minutes.

From July 6, motorhomes and campervans in Saltburn, England, will be restricted to marked bays on the north side of Marine Parade between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, with a four-hour limit. Outside these hours and on Sundays, no time restrictions apply. Parking in unmarked areas with single yellow lines is prohibited at all times. The experimental measure aims to balance resident and visitor needs.
