Antalya has launched the Astro Safari Karavan project: a mobile observatory on a motorhome base lets tourists observe the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter. The first event took place at Düden Waterfall, with plans to expand to Cappadocia and Pamukkale.

The Denizli Pamukkale Municipality has announced a Camping and Caravan Festival to take place on August 29-30, 2026. The event coincides with the Victory Day celebrations on August 30. The program includes nature walks, city tours, guided travertine excursions, surprise artists and live music performances. Participation is free. The festival will be held at the Pamukkale Natural Life Area.

A tiny house used as a dwelling caught fire in Mazıköy, Bodrum, Turkey. Firefighters extinguished the blaze, but the structure was completely destroyed. Cause under investigation.

Authorities in Bodrum, together with the national property office and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, are conducting inspections of caravans and tents placed in unauthorized areas. During a raid in the Kabakum area, caravan owners were required to remove their vehicles, and one unattended caravan was towed away. Tents on beaches and archaeological sites are also being checked, with unattended tents removed after official procedures. The efforts will continue through regular patrols.

İz Gazete has listed three campsites in Izmir where visitors can rent a caravan or tent. These include Karagöl Forest Camp in Menemen, Deniz Tent Camp in Dikili, and Kalemlik Forest Camp in Menderes. All offer basic amenities such as showers, toilets, and electricity, as well as access to natural attractions.

A caravan with license plate 07 BOY 627 overturned on the Batman-Bitlis highway and collided with other vehicles. No injuries were reported, but the caravan and the cars involved sustained material damage. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
