Seven campsites of the Croatian company Valamar have been included in the list of the 100 most sought-after campsites in Europe according to PiNCAMP Most Wanted 2026, which tracks the interest of German users of the PiNCAMP.de portal from January 1 to July 31, 2026.
The best result was shown by Valamar Camping Lanterna in Istria, which took fifth place in the overall European ranking and remained the highest-ranked campsite from Croatia. In addition to Lanterna, the top 100 includes Valamar Camping Istra (21st place), Camping Solaris (35th), Camping Orsera (63rd), Valamar Camping Krk (68th), Valamar Camping Ježevac (81st) and Valamar Camping Baška (94th).
The ranking is based on page views by German users and reflects digital interest, not the number of bookings or overnight stays. According to one source, the ranking includes campsites with at least four reviews and an average rating of no less than 7 out of 10. Croatia is represented in the list by 23 campsites, making it the third country by number of representatives after Germany (39) and Italy (25).
