Croatia will top the European campsite quality ranking for the first time in 2027, according to PiNCAMP, the camping platform of ADAC, with the number of Croatian campsites holding the ADAC Superplatz label rising to 29. The announcement was made at the 20th Croatian Camping Congress, organised by the Croatian Camping Association (KUH) and held from 19 to 21 October at the Well Hotel in Terme Tuhelj. Between 2007 and 2025, the number of four-star campsites in Croatia rose from 13 to 82, nine entered the five-star category, and 58% of campsite capacity now falls into the 4- and 5-star segment. From 1 January to 11 October 2026, Croatian campsites recorded almost 3.4 million arrivals and 21.4 million overnight stays, matching the record level of the same period last year.
