Assocamp surveyed over 52 dealers and found that 57.7% of new motorhome buyers previously used hotels, and 38.5% came from second homes. The main motivation is freedom to manage time (65.4%), plus the ability to travel with pets or sports equipment (48.1%). The key technical trend is energy independence: 63.5% of dealers say lithium batteries, inverters and solar panels most often convince clients to exceed their budget. However, 70.6% of dealers with workshops report dangerous DIY modifications to electrical systems by owners.
