Parking near beaches is prohibited, a 48-hour stay limit is enforced in some provinces, and vehicle technical inspections have been tightened. New road signs indicating waste disposal points have also been introduced.

As of January 1, 2026, in Spain, a V16 warning lamp is mandatory for breakdowns instead of the warning triangle, and using awnings or chairs outside designated areas may be considered camping.

23-year-old Miriam from Spain published a breakdown of expenses for the first month of living in a motorhome with her partner. The total amount was 519.78 euros, including 320.77 euros for food and 126.16 euros for gasoline. Water was free thanks to a nearby access point, while electricity was provided by a solar panel.
