First motorhome trip: how a camper van differs from a motorhome
Original source: palencia.portaldetuciudad.com

A Spanish rental company reports that about 90% of its customers are renting a motorhome for the first time. A camper van is a converted van with a bed, small kitchen and fridge, while a motorhome is larger and has a full shower and toilet. Renting a camper van for four people costs around €70 per day in low season and €100–140 in summer, while a large motorhome starts at about €100 and reaches around €170 in high season. Fuel consumption is about 9 litres per 100 km for a camper van and 14–16 litres for a motorhome. The company advises renting and taking a real trip before buying, and checking insurance, deposit and mileage terms for each specific vehicle.
