A spontaneous parking area for motorhomes and converted buses has formed in Rosario on Belgrano Avenue, between the Rioja street roundabout and the San Juan rise. The site by the river, metres from the Flag Monument, is used by motorhomers, some of whom live there permanently. Among them is Osvaldo, 53, whose ten-metre bus was immobilised in 2024 after the electrical wiring was stolen; he plans to travel to Brazil once repairs are complete. Ariel, 47, moved into a 1997 Fiat Ducatoⓘ and has now bought a Mercedes-Benz 515, saying he spends a third of what a house costs. The site is open, public and free; according to the travellers, restrictions on this lifestyle are increasing in other localities.
