Ibiza's nightclubs are preparing their opening parties while workers forced to live in caravans due to unaffordable housing face evictions. A judicial commission arrived to evict an illegal settlement in the Can Misses area, where about 80 people had lived since July in caravans, tents, and shacks. By the time the commission arrived, the settlement was almost deserted, with only three people left packing their belongings.
This is the sixth illegal settlement evicted on Ibiza since 2024. Average rent is 25–30 euros per square meter, while workers' salaries (1,500–1,800 euros) do not cover living costs.
