Ibiza is evicting about 200 people living in campers in settlements like Sa Joveria and Can Misses. These are employed workers unable to afford housing: a room costs over €1,000 per month, an apartment around €2,100, while many salaries are below €1,800. Law 5/2024 requires a camping reservation for camper living, but the island has only five campsites, booked months ahead. Social groups say evictions don't solve the problem, just displace it, as the island relies on workers without homes.
