In 2024–2025 residents of the lower-lying streets reported damage to their homes; the municipality acknowledged the need for geological surveys. In July 2025 the municipality awarded Geotecnica Lavori srl a contract for continuous drilling to 20 metres, sampling and inclinometer installation for 6,032.90 euros, with a 30-day deadline. According to available information, the works have not been carried out and monitoring has not begun.

Adriatic weather stabilises after storm, campsites operational
