According to an analysis by the camping portal Pincamp, bookings for campsites in Northern Europe in July and August 2026 increased by 15% compared to the previous year. Southern Europe remains the leader in booking volume (67%), but demand is shifting to the off-season and cooler regions. Switzerland, where the average cost per night for a family is 55 francs, also benefits from the 'Coolcation' trend. The highest prices were recorded in Croatia (67 francs) and Italy (57 francs), while Norway (34 francs) and Sweden (37 francs) are cheaper.
